DESCRIPTION:
Located in the Sintra hills, the Park and Palace of Pena are the fruit of King Ferdinand II.
Creative genius and the greatest expression of 19th-century romanticism in Portugal, denoting clear influences from the Manueline and Moorish styles of architecture.
The palace was built in such a way as to be visible from any point in the park, which consists of a forest and luxuriant gardens with over five hundred different species of trees originating from the four corners of the earth.

From the main gate entrance to the palace we have a steep climb, if you have difficulties to walk buy the ticket for the internal transfer, costs € 3 round trip. It has a 15/15 minutes regularity, by foot are 10 minutes with climbing of moderate difficulty.
On the back terrace of the Palace, on the left side of the Church access stairs, you will find a small entrance where you can access "The path of the wall". If the weather permits, be dazzled by magnificent views of the Atlantic coast line and the Moorish Castle, unmissable.
