DESCRIPTION:

 

Located near the top of a gentle hillside, facing east, on a mountain 413 meters high, about 12 km west of the city of Évora.

The largest megalithic monument of the Iberian Peninsula and one of the oldest monuments.

It was built about 7000 years ago, in the early Neolithic.

Currently has about a hundred monolith, some of them decorated.

 

Located on private property of Mr. José Manuel Neves, he gives free access, asks only respect for the surrounding area.
