A splendid viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the castle and central Lisbon.
Since 2009 its real name is Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen viewpoint, dedicaded to the famous poet. Sophia was one of the most important portuguese poets of the twentieth century and it was his favorite viewpoint in Lisbon.
The open-air cafe and its relaxing atmosphere is a favorite with young locals, especially in late afternoon. During the summer it remains open well into the night.

Baroque style, inside, the tiles are from the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and two monumental marble chairs on sacristy and in the chapel an excellent representation of Christ in purple costumes.
