The King D.Carlos himself suggested that the name of the baker and owner Constância Piriquita, is going to be the name of the bakery.

Additionally, the King, who venerated Sintra, advised their owners to make the cheesecake, with a typical sweet of the area.

The success was immediate and quickly, the bakery became a symbol of Sintra.
