SANTA CATARINA VIEWPOINT (ADAMASTOR)

 

Best known for "Adamastor" by the locals (a mythical giant based on Greco-Roman mythology, referred by Luís de Camões in "Os Lusíadas," represented there by a sculpture made by Júlio Vaz Junior 1877-1963).

Is the meeting point of Bica/Bairro Alto, was recently remodeled, one of the best views over the River Tagus. It has a small bar / kiosk and esplanade, on your right is the Noobai café with a nice terrace and snacks.
