ITINERARY:

 

Pick up at 9 am. wherever you are in Lisbon / Sintra / Cascais.

Crossing the Tagus river, leaving the big cities and the noise, we start by Arrábida Natural Park, where you can admire its natural beauty, then descend to the foot of the hills towards the sea until you reach the "Portinho da Arrábida", must stop to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, so bring your swimsuit and a towel.

After a relaxed time by the beach, we go to Sesimbra to enjoy the local cuisine with fresh seafood, one of the best. The Portuguese leave Lisbon regularly to go there to eat the seafood specialties.

After lunch, we go for for the traditional portuguese cafe by the sea and a pleasant walk along the beautiful village of Sesimbra, then a visit to it's castle, to the most beautiful view of the bay and the Arrábida Natural Park, there we go visit the Castle Church, decorated with tile panels of notable masters Teotónio dos Santos and Bartolomeu Antunes, made ​​in 1721.

 

Then we leave Sesimbra heading to Azeitão, where you can enjoy the best wines and cheeses of the region.

We will have the opportunity to visit one of the two oldest and best wine producers in the region:

 

- The beautiful Quinta da Bacalhôa and its Museum and discover the setting which has the distinction of dating back to the founders of the Avis dynasty. The estate has been beautified by Portuguese hand-painted tiles from the XV and XVI centuries evoking Moorish designs, and with a lakeside house with views over the estate. During the tour take the opportunity to taste the wines and fully appreciate the pleasure which can be found in the degustation of wines.

 

- The House/Museum and Cellars José Maria da Fonseca, founded in 1834, a Family wine producers with almost 200 years of history.

The visit to the Museum House begins with a brief explanation of the company’s history, followed by a tour of the ancient wine cellars: Adega da Mata and Adega dos Teares Novos, where wines such as Periquita mature, and Adega dos Teares Velhos, where the oldest Setúbal Muscatels (Muscats or Moscateis) rest, some of which are true relics over 100 years old. At the end of the tour, the visitor can sample some of the wines produced by José Maria da Fonseca.

 

Exit to Lisbon with arrival at 6pm.
